I've Been Nominated

I've been nominated for the Dorset Cereals "Little Blog Award"

Not sure who nominated me, so Thank You to whoever you are.

There are some fab blogs nominated, I am a follower of quite a few of them.

Just click here to have a look at them all.

Hope the sun shines this weekend!

Hi, congrats on your award! With regards to the cupboard, it does depend on what kind of state it is in now. If you are not happy with the colour, sand out any really rough patches and prime it first, then paint it. Because ours are meant for kitchen use, we use paints which can be washed etc but you may not need to do that for a craft cupboard. We usually change the handles as they tend to have lost their originals over the years. Add curtain wire to the top and bottom of each cupboard door and make some curtains from a pretty fabric! They do look fab when done up. Good luck!

Wow - it's great to be nominated for something like that! Best of luck...

You were asking about cleaning your silver jewellery, and that gave me the idea of trying mine! I shall let you know how I get on, but for the first go I'll do silver-only stuff. When I asked Ben about cleaning silver items that had other materials, like bone handles, he thought they would probably not be damaged by the bicarb. He's a scientist so he should understand the processes going on, but I'm still a bit wary about the handles... I should think that stones in jewellery should be fine.... I'll let you know!

OK, it worked! I'm currently wearing a bracelet with little blue stones which I haven't worn for ages, as I got too lazy to polish it! I think this could change my life...
