Relief & Fear

Just a quick update about Pickle, Gav got a phone call yesterday from our neighbour to say she was in the driveway of our house. Gav rushed home & managed to get her into the house, she couldn't walk goodness know how she crawled home!
I then came home and we got a vets appointment.
Long story short she is very poorly, she has had her tailed pulled, somehow!
She has a paralyzed tail & she may have severe nerve damage to her bladder, bowel & spine.
She can't pee herself at the moment and will be at the vets until they can properly asses the damage.
I have never been soo worried in my life, I was soo relieved she came home but also soo worried about the damage that has been done and what will happen next....
We just have to wait & see.
Thanks for your wonderful supportive messages.
We went to visit her tonight and although she is still very poorly we just have to be positive that she will pull through this.

Thanks again
Luv

Oh Sophie! Poor Pickle. I'm sending lots of positive vibes your way. A similar thing happened to my cat and the vet thought she;d had her tail run over by a car and had tried to run away. My cat was OK after lots of TLC. I hope Pickle is too. Big hug. xxx

The very same thing happened to my cat too the vet thinks she'd somehow had her tail trapped and he amputated it as it was paralised. Sooty made a full recovery and lived to a good age and I adored her. My sister's cat, Tom, was found under the hedge one day after going missing and some brute had swung him round by the tail and he was in a real bad way but the vet managed to sort him out and I must admit he did have "dribble" problems after that but he too lived to a good age. I hope this make's you feel a bit better and puts your mind at rest a little bit and I'm sure the vet will do all they can for her, big hug, Lucey x

O this is really sad, I hope Pickle makes a full recovery. It makes you wonder how it happened, at least now she is getting all the care she can right now and hopefully all will be well in the end. Thinking of you, Gav and pickle xxx

Gosh I wonder what happened to her poor little soul. Mind you, it's probably best not to dwell on that and concentrate on her getting better soon.

So glad you found her.
