Cabin Fever!!!!

I am having a love hate relationship with the Snow at the moment.
I love the way it makes my garden look,

I love the way the kittens are intrigued buy it,

I love the way it crunches under foot,

I hate that it stopped me going to work today,
I hate the way the country stops for it,
I hate that it made my poor Mini soo frozen that the doors didn't defrost until midday.
Phewwwwwwwwww, sorry needed to do that.
I have had cabin fever today!
I have been sat at my laptop today with my work email on trying to carry on as normal and do some work.
I have loved the holidays but I think my brain needs some stimulation as cosy days in, with the fire, too much food & TV have taken there tole.
I also think I needed people to talk to, Gav managed to get to work so I was home alone and I'm not sure if talking to myself is a good thing?
Isn't it the first sign of madness???

I did however notice when making what seemed my hundredth cup of tea that the daffodils my Mum bought me at Christmas have started to flower on my window sill.

How bizarre, sub zero temperatures out side and daffodils flowering inside.
Well lets hope that Mini doesn't freeze tomorrow as I have lots to do at work.
Hope your all coping with the weather,
Thanks for letting me rant.
Luv

I know what you mean about the snow but the novelty soon wears off doesn't it?
I hope you get into work tomorrow.
Take care
Kate.

I am with you! It is so pretty but it's crazy that the world stops coz of a bit of frozen rain!!! I'm just sore because I can't bag myself a snow day and have walked about 20 miles because of it!!!
Hope you can get yourself to work tomorrow but remember to stay safe!

I know what you mean about the love hate with the snow. Luckily I've been off work this week (unfortunately because I was ill though) but now I'm starting to feel better it's frustrating that I can't jump in my car and get around like normal!

On the plus side I've saved a fortune!!!

Rant away - it's very pretty but I've been off work since it started (school shut) but still have to hike a dog twice a day and walk a mile to the town as there is no way I can drive on the ice-rink that is surrounding our house for a half mile radius, and when I think of what my heating bill is going to be I want to cry!!

Hi Sophie, I'm sorry of what is happening overthere. We were snowed the week before Christmas and had your same feelings about being stuck at home! I went mad!
Hope you will back to normal very soon! By the way, love your Daffodils! xxx

Yes, I too think snow is beautiful to look at, but walking in it or driving in it drives me crazy!

Happy New Year!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, our part of France stopped at the THREAT of snow today, even though most places near us didn't actually get any...

Rant away! School has been closed for 3 days now and although I love my little ones dearly I need my own space too!
Keep warm and safe.

I talk to my dogs all the time - so if you are getting worried, I should just address your comments to the cat!
